Casino ATM Owners Beware of Regulation E Lawsuits

Casino operators need to be alert to ATMs located on their casino floors to ensure signage on all their ATM terminals follows Regulation E and Network requirements. There is a recent surge of Regulation E lawsuits being filed against ATM terminals deployed across the country that are out of compliance. To help provide some protection to your casino business against these lawsuits it is recommended you check each ATM to ensure that they prominently display the required signage. The required signage includes Fee Notice, Operational Problems or Suspicious Activity and network brands. The Fee Notice directly relates to Regulation E.

Recent visit to five prominent Las Vegas strip casino properties found three of the five out of compliance. The American Bankers Association states “An ounce of prevention is worth several pounds of cure”. A quick look now could help insulate you later from class-action litigation that has the potential to turn the Regulation E into Regulation “Expensive.”

The “on machine” ATM notice requires a notice in a “prominent and conspicuous location” on the ATM that a fee may be imposed. It is this second set of disclosures that is generating litigation. The provisions of Regulation E governing ATM disclosures have been interpreted by the Federal Reserve as requiring both “on machine” and “screen/paper” notices.

Are these lawsuits legitimate concern? Most give the appearance of being filed mostly for their nuisance or settlement value. The EFTA caps class action damages at the lesser of $500,000 or 1% of the net worth of a defendant (plus attorney fees and costs). The statute also provides a defendant with excellent grounds to respond to the suit should they choose to defend rather than settle. The following web-site is yet another example of how claims are being solicited against your business http://www.classactionconnect.com

As a precautionary measure casino operators should take a date and time stamped photo of the ATM terminal displaying compliant signage as evidence of compliance at that point in time should the casino become involved in a class action lawsuit involving non-compliance to Regulation E. It is advisable to ensure signage is compliantly displayed each time a terminal is visited. Have your in house slot technicians carry signage to replace missing signage and a disposable time/date stamped camera to take the signage photo. It is suggested the time and date stamped photos be archived so a chronology can be provided as necessary. These simple steps should assist in the protection and defense of these lawsuits.

World Of Warcraft Paladin Guide – The Holy Warrior Of WoW

Let me begin by saying this is certainly not a full World of Warcraft guide on Paladins. There is no way you could cram everything this most versatile of classes is able to do in a few paragraphs. It is merely an overview that will hopefully give you a small window in the world of the paladin, the holy warrior of WoW.

Paladins are a class of their own. They’re said to be hybrids of warriors, Priests and other DPS classes like Mages or Warlocks. By the way, DPS means Damage Per Second which means a class which give out lots of melee damage or close combat damage.

Even if they borrow these specialist traits from classes who are better recognized for having them, the Paladin’s use of them is so powerful that they are probably one of the most difficult classes in WoW to kill and get the better of in PvP (player versus player combat). As a warrior myself I tend to really steer away from them as they are the equivalent of fighting another equally well armoured warrior that not only can heal him or herself but can also cast spells. That is awesome power and imo quite unfair.

So Paladins specialize as tanks by having in one of their abilities tree called the “Protection Tree” spells and learned talents which enables them to both take and give enormous damage to and from several enemies at once. Special spells here include “Holy Shield”, “Retribution”, and “Consecration” which all add up to give the Paladin well sought after tanking abilities which for some raids and instances are far superior to that of any other class.

The second tree and not necessarily in order of importance is the “Retribution” tree which is where the Paladin draws abilities that enable them to give lots of DPS or melee/close combat damage to enemies that are being fought against. Here abilities like “Crusader Strike”, “Seal of Command” make the Paladin an especially useful class to include in raids.

The third ability tree of the Holy Warrior is their healing power. Their healing abilities are especially attuned to give heals to different players in the game. On top of this they can fight making them healing warriors. This makes them probably the most versatile class for group play where they can both take the role of the Priest as healer and tank as warrior. Perfect for either job or as back up.

So there you have it, whether you fancy yourself as a healing priest, or a tank raging warrior or a DPS expert like a Mage or Shaman, there is no need to start up one of these classes when a Paladin does all three things at once. Also, this is a class that in WoW is highly effective in groups and ideal for all the end game activities like raids and large instances where the services of paladins are highly rated.

Aion Scout Guide – Aion Guide to Scout Class Leveling

Are you having a scout class in Aion? And are you in a need to get that character leveled up on the fastest way? To start leveling your character in Aion you should know only 2 things:

o What area’s to go.

o What quests to take and not to take.

Level Your Scout Class Character By Knowing Exactly To What Area’s To Go

The first thing that’s very important when you want to level your character is to know where to go. You see, many area’s are build in a way so you have to spend a lot of time to finish the area.

You should go to area’s that are having:

o Lots of quests.

o A decent amount of creatures.

o A small travelling time from south to north.

If you are in an area that’s having this then you should definitely go for it. If an area hasn’t got many quests, too many creatures or a too long travelling time then you should avoid it.

Level Your Scout By Knowing Exactly What Quests To Accept And To Decline

If you are in a great area to level in you should now focus on the quests. You need to decline junk quests which will only waste your time.

When you are about to accept a quests you should ask yourself 2 questions.

o Is the reward bad?

o Will it take lots of time to complete the quest?

If your answer to these 2 questions is yes, then these quests are good to level with.

But, how to know exactly what area’s and quests are good to level with without spending endless hour on doing research?

Level Your Scout Character By A Leveling Guide

When you simply don’t want to do research on where to go and what quests to accept then it’s highly recommended to use the scout leveling guide. A guide like this will tell you by a step by step leveling path where to go, who to talk to, what quests to accept, what to kill and what items to get.

Taxes on Your Gambling Winnings – You Owe Uncle Sam a Piece No Matter How Much You Won

When you’re gambling at a casino, you may win a few bucks here and there and leave with more dollars than you brought with you. It may be as little as $20, or as much as $1,000. When cashing out you were never presented you with a form to declare your winnings to the IRS. If you think you’re home free, think again. As a U.S. citizen, you owe Uncle Sam a piece of the action regardless of the amount. Many players think that just because they were not given a tax form there’re home free. Not so.

So, what does get reported to the IRS? Larger amounts that are won at gambling establishments such as casinos, lottery retailers, horse race tracks and off-track betting parlors. They will issue a form W-2G, one copy to you and one to the IRS. Here are some details:

Machine Games

$1,200 or more won at a slot machine, video poker, video keno, video blackjack, etc. This only applies to a single jackpot payout amount. Accumulated credits are credit meter wins and do not count.

$1,200 or more won at a live bingo game will also trigger a W-2G, and $1,500 or more at a live keno game (minus your wager amounts).

The casino will not withhold any gambling taxes from awards in the $1,200 to $1,500 range provided you present a valid photo ID and social security number. If you do not provide this information, 28% will be withheld.

Live Table Games

Winnings from live table games are not reportable on a W-2G, except if there is a very large prize amount offered for a small wager, such as a dollar bet for a shot at a progressive table jackpot, where the winning odds are over 300/1 and the win is more than $600. For example, Caribbean Stud offers a huge progressive jackpot for wagering only $1, if you’re lucky enough to hit a Royal Flush.

If you win $600 or more in any other wagering game, such as horse, dog racing or sports betting, and the amount is at least 300 times your bet minus your wager amount, the establishment will gift you with a W-2G. If your winnings exceed $5,000 and the amount is more than 300 times your bet, 25% will be withheld. The same withholding percentage also applies to any cash prize of $5,000 or more in poker or other card tournaments minus the buy-in amount.

Winnings on state lottery games such as lotto, numbers, scratch-offs, etc. can be collected at your local retailer up to $600. Any more and you’ll have to visit the main lottery office in your community, where a W-2G also awaits you. This information is from the New York lottery. Other states may have different rules.

Winnings on Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) contests at this time are considered games of skill. DFS sites will issue a 1099-MISC, not a W-2G for winnings of $600 or more.

Video Lottery Terminals (VLT)

$600 or more in winnings from any class II Video Lottery Terminal game will also invite a W-2G. This includes any winnings on machines at jurisdictions that are operated by a state lottery. For example, New York State has nine race tracks with VLT’s that are pseudo slot and video poker machines.

Deductions

The good news in all of this is that gambling losses are tax deductible but only up to the amount of your winnings, and only if you itemize deductions on your tax return.

The IRS wants to make sure that you indeed lost what you claim you lost, so a record of all your losses is required. Win- loss statements are available from most major casinos at the end of the year, provided you used your player’s club card when playing machines. Save those losing scratch-off tickets, Lotto, Powerball, and Mega-Millions tickets, daily numbers, Quick Draw, OTB, etc.

For losses on Daily Fantasy Sports contests, the IRS position at this time is unclear. Because of the skill factor, your winnings are in the hobby category. Therefore, any losses would not be deductible, although this situation could change at any time.

You don’t have to record the tickets on your tax statement, but they may be necessary if you are audited. All the IRS wants to know is the type of wager, the amount of the bet and the date of the transaction.

Always play it safe and check with your tax preparer for your personal needs.

Tera Class Guide – Get Info About Each Of The 8 Classes And Which You Should Play!

In this guide we are going to give you an overview of each class in Tera and tell you how they will play so you can pick a class that will suit you. We will also give you a difficulty rating for each of the classes as some are easier to get to grips with than others.

If you play a lot of MMO’s then you will be fine picking any class but if you are new to the game then there is definitely a learning curve here!

The first class we will look at is the Archer:

Tera Archer Class:

The Archer makes for an excellent choice if you are new to the game as it is a ranged DPS class with strong attacks. Basically DPS means “Damage per second” and this class will deliver huge bursts of damage on your foes and aim to destroy them before they even get close to you.

If you are playing Solo and concentrating on leveling this is an awesome class and you will use traps to slow down or stop your pray while you rain down the damage.

In a group the Archer works well to attack multiple targets with high damage and works well as a DPS to assist your party.

We give this class a difficulty rating of 2/5.

Next up we have the Berserker:

Tera Berserker Class:

The Berserker class is another DPS class but unlike the Archer you will have Heavy Armor and get up close and personal with your enemy. They use massive charge up attacks and are very good at blocking.

If you want an all-out attack class then you should think about using the Berserker but bear in mind you will lose mana points when you are not attacking.

This is also another very good class for Solo play as you will be able to attack constantly and your damage will go up.

In a party you will use the Berserker as a Tank and if you want to take on the BAM’s first and be right in the front line this is the class for you!

Difficulty for the Berserker is 3/5.

Tera Lancer Class:

This class is a Tank and can take a lot of damage they are also a little bit more difficult to use so if you are new I would go for another class.

If you fancy a challenge though and have played MMORG’s before when used properly the Lancer is an awesome class.

Solo this class is a bit tricky to use as your main skills are generating massive threat to get the enemy to attack you.

As a party this is the ULTIMATE class as you can get the attention of the bigger mobs and then you will work as a defensive tank and you can take a massive amount of damage before falling.

Difficulty for the Lancer is 3/5.

Tera Mystic Guide

The Mystics are a very strange class! This is probably the hardest class to use in the game for new people as a lot of your skills are healing. You do get an awesome teleport skill but if you are looking for a class for leveling I would look elsewhere.

As a party member the Mystic is good fun because you will be able to get around the entire battleground with ease, you have your teleport ability and you will also be able to help your party with some awesome healing abilities.

Your other skills involve numerous buffs that you can use on your party so if you are playing socially then the Mystic might be for you.

Difficulty for the Mystic is 5/5.

Tera Preist Guide

For those of you that want every spell in the book literally the Priest is for you! This class has the most spells out of any class in the game and are average difficulty to use.

They work well as a healer but you can also do well soloing with a priest.

They work well in solo play because of the power of their attacks but are primarily a party class and you get the awesome revive skill with this class.

Mainly used as a healing class in parties.

Difficulty for the Priest is 3/5.

Tera Slayer Guide

This class is a bit like the Berserker but with light armor and they are more accurate with their shots. A good beginner class for people that want an alternative to the Warrior. You will find this class makes for a good Burst DPS class while leveling solo.

While playing as a party your main aim with this class will be to get in and out quickly and deal massive damage.

So it is a fast class and we rate this class for beginners.

Slayer is rated at 2/5 for difficulty of use.

Tera Sorcerer Guide

If you are looking for one of the most damaging ranged DPS classes in the game you have found it with the Sorcerer. This class is excellent if you want to speed level in the game and I would say even better than the Archer for ranged attacks.

The awesome thing about the Sorcerer is that it does work well in a party as long as you stay well back and deal as much damage as you can.

We think this class is perfect for beginners or anyone that wants to level fast.

Sorcerer Difficulty is 1/5

Tera Warrior Guide

Lastly we have the Warrior and we actually think this is a decent class. It holds aggro even when they are not attacking and has very fast attacks.

If you use this class correctly it works well as a sustained DPS or an Evasive Tank as it will deal a lot of damage.

However if you are new to the game stay away from the Warrior as it is the most difficult class to use and if you can link together the combos you will be deadly but it takes practice.

In a party situation the job of the Warrior is to protect the ranged classes and pile on the damage with quick attacks.

Warrior Difficulty is 5/5.
