Taking of Pelham 123 Description:
What a wonderful idea – to capture the train together with the train driver and passengers. Rails, tunnels – freedom! Can go anywhere. A crazier idea would only be to steal carousel in the fair ground and require the Controller to fly to Bangladesh or somewhere else far away. What do these terrorists hope to achieve?
But their attitude is more than serious. The Driver asks the New York mayor 10 million dollars in gold, in bank notes and shares. He gives an hour for all this. The gunman threatens to kill a hostage every 60 seconds, and if his demands are not fulfilled – to kill all “safe” passenger from 123train. Driver passes on his conditions via an ordinary manager Walter Garber (Denzel Washington). The latter is a calm man in a sweater and non-modern glasses. It is not clear where his fault is and why he must bear responsibility for the lives of other people for at least 20 minutes at the beginning of the movie. This misunderstanding, in fact, built the main intrigue of the movie.
A typical model emerges. On the one side is the criminal who is not entirely bad – good looking, with character and a good vocabulary, on the other is a usual good-natured American, who accidentally got into trouble, but who has found the strength to fight the villains. It should be noted that in the unique book the focus was somewhat different. Driver was a heartless scoundrel without any sentimentality; Garber was an everyday “cog” in the state machine. The first-hand creator told the story on behalf of a couple – 10-s (!) heroes, gave a detailed account of the circumstances. Scott used the stamp not for the first time, using the duo of Travolta – Washington as a basis. They have concentrated all our attention. The criminal, as usually, is not really a criminal but a good-natured person…… good natured people are not perfect, they also make some bad things.
Despite all this, the movie is worth being watched. In particular, if you are a fan of criminal style. The movie Taking of Pelham 123 turned out to be solid and reliable just for any man, it keeps in suspense until the final seconds. The fact that the scenario is rolling on the rails – these are the decorations. Metro, tunnels, railway lines, and arrows. Go wherever you want

How can you not love Vincent Vega (Travolta in Pulp Fiction)…am I right? His new role in From Paris With Love looks cool, even if the name sounds like a James Bond rip off…
