Poker Book Review – All In – An E-guide To No Limit Texas Hold’em by Amarillo Slim Preston

I am really not much of a book reviewer but I would like to share this with you. While visiting Amarillo Slim’s new website http://amarilloslim.org I came across Amarillo Slim’s new ebook, All In: An E-guide To No Limit Texas Hold’em, I believe it to be the greatest and most educational book on poker yet. With so many books about poker on the market at first I was skeptical, figuring old Slim was just trying to cash in on the poker craze like everyone else but then I read the book and found It is just simply written and easy to understand. The chapter on hand odds is worth the price of the book, much less the starting hands and tells chapters that give a special insight to a great poker mind at work and a story you will not want to miss. this book also dives into many other aspects of poker including psychology, table position, and of course finding games you can beat. This book was not only informative but very entertaining.

So if you are looking for some good reading or a poker lesson that you actually learn something from, this is the book for you.

Amarillo Slim Preston is a true poker legend, member of five halls of fame, winner of five WSOP bracelets, including the WSOP Championship in 1972. Besides poker, he is also known as a world class billiard’s player and one of the most publicized proposition gamblers in history, making him one of the most successful and recognizable gamblers the world has ever known.

The Conqueror Class In Age Of Conan

The heart and soul of any party in Age of Conan is The Conqueror. In a party they fill two roles, one as an awesome fighter dealing out damage, and two as a inspiration to the group with their magic and presence.

Conquerors tend to be more offensive minded as a fighting class. Preferring to use two handed weapons or dual wielding. They can wear any type of armor but do not use shields. Unlike Barbarians which try to deal huge amounts of damage quickly, Conquerors are a bit more conservative and have abilities that benefit the entire party.

Conquerors wielding two-handed weapons make for tremendous fighters in their own right, and there’s always the matter of that huge sword they’re carrying, but they also gain a number of combos making them even harder to defeat. Dancing Steel, Furious Strikes, Concussive Attacks, and Heroic Call to name a few.

Those who opt for two weapons rather than one are no less vicious. Dual-wielding conquerors have twice the weaponry, but they also have several unique combos of their own. Rallying Strike and Rhythm or War are a just a couple of the many combos they gain.

Conquerors aren’t just deadly fighters. The Conquerors have beneficial auras that surround them and all friends within range. Some auras are offensive in natures adding to the damage dealt by the party. Some are more of buffing auras granting various benefits to the party. Conquerors can have a single combative aura and a single augmentative aura running simultaneously.

Aion Crafting Guide – Choose the Best Aion Crafting Skill For Your Class

Aion crafting is just like in real life. In order to make money or in Aion, Kinah’s, you need to learn Aion crafting. There are six different crafting skills in Aion and you can take on any of them, but each character can only master two of them. In this article you will get a brief introduction to crafting in Aion, where you can learn to master them and what crafting skill that is best suited for your class.

The six crafting skills are:

Armorsmith

This Aion Crafting skill lets you produce heavy armors, helmets and shields. When you’re at the higher levels, the only ways to get high quality heavy armory and shields is to kill rare mobs or bosses and by crafting them yourself.

The Gladiator and Templar classes will benefit most this crafting skill, but it may also be useful for Priests.

To learn Armorsmithing:

Asmodian faction – Talk to Kinterun at the Temple of Artisans in Pandemonium.

Elyos faction – Talk to Vulcanus in Artisans’ Hall in Sanctum.

Cooking

Cooking is a fun Aion crafting skill to possess and all classes can benefit from it. However it won’t make you rich and it can take some time to craft food and beverages.

To learn Cooking:

Asmodian faction – Talk to Lainita at the Temple of Artisans in Pandemonium.

Elyos faction – Talk to Hestia in Artisans’ Hall in Sanctum.

Handicrafting

The Aion crafting skill of handicrafting let you make rings, bows, necklaces, staves, earrings and glasses. You can make a lot of Kinah with handicrafting, but keep in mind that you will have to spend quite a bit of time gathering materials. Rangers and Chanters will get the most out of this crafting skill, but any class can benefit from it and make a lot of Kinah with it.

To learn Handicrafting:

Asmodian faction – Talk to Lanseat the Temple of Artisans in Pandemonium.

Elyos faction – Talk to Utsida in Artisans’ Hall in Sanctum.

Sewing

Sewing will allow you to make belts, hats, shoes and leather armor. You can get a pretty good armor for yourself with this Aion crafting skill, but you won’t make a lot of Kinah with it. Scouts and Mages will get the most out of sewing.

To learn Sewing:

Asmodian faction – Talk to Zyakia at the Temple of Artisans in Pandemonium.

Elyos faction – Talk to Daphnis in Artisans’ Hall in Sanctum.

Alchemy

With the Alchemy Aion crafting skill you can make orbs, spell books, potions, scrolls and manastones. Spirit Masters and Sorcerers will get the most out of Alchemy, but some of the tings you can craft such as potions and scrolls can be very useful for other classes as well.

To learn Alchemy:

Asmodian faction – Talk to Honir at the Temple of Artisans in Pandemonium.

Elyos faction – Talk to Diana in Artisans’ Hall in Sanctum.

Weaponsmith

This Aion crafting let you create swords, pole arms, maces, spears and daggers. Assassins, Gladiators and Templar’s will get the most out of weaponsmithing, but it is possible to make a lot of Kinah with this crafting skill, so other classes may also consider it.

To learn Weaponsmithing:

Asmodian faction – Talk to Rogi at the Temple of Artisans in Pandemonium.

Elyos faction – Talk to Anteros in Artisans’ Hall in Sanctum.

Try to figure out which Aion crafting skill you want to go for as early in the game as possible, even if you don’t want to take on a skill right away. Then you know what materials that might be useful for you to keep.

Gulfstream Park

Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida first opened to the public in 1939. It was only open for four days that year, but it attracted 18,000 people on opening day. Gulfstream opened again in 1944 for a 20 day meet and hasn’t missed a season since. This track has seen its share of great horses, including the likes of Swaps, Nashua, Bold Ruler, Kelso, Spectacular Bid and Cigar.

But the single theme that has run through the history of Gulfstream Park is change. By 1946, Gulfstream added the Gulfstream Park Handicap. 1952 not only added the Florida Derby, but construction began on a clubhouse and the grandstand was expanded. As the spectators enjoyed seeing the Swaps set a new world record in 1956 and watching Bold Ruler get defeated by General Duke in 1957, plans were in the works to add a world-class turf track to the facilities. The new track was finished in 1959.

1961 saw the addition of the largest tote board in the world to the track infield. Of course, it wouldn’t be considered the world’s largest by today’s standards, but in 1961, it was very grand. In the 1970s, the changes were more subtle. The Florida Derby became the state’s richest race when the purse was raised to $125,000. In 1978, the president of Gulfstream Park, James Donn, Jr., passed away. His son, Doug Donn, was elected as his replacement.

In 1982, renovations were performed on the clubhouse and grandstand. A new domed dining terrace was added known as the Gulfdome, providing a beautiful area to dine. In 1989, Gulfstream hosted the 6th Breeders’ Cup as a mini event lasting three days.

In 1990, another change happened when Gulfstream was purchased by Bertram and Diana Firestone, the owners of Calder Race Course. A banner event this year at the track was the final win in William Shoemaker’s long, illustrious career as a jockey. 1992 found the Park hosting another Breeders’ Cup, which broke the North American record for the amount of money bet in a single day. In 1995 and 1996, Gulfstream saw many of the amazing wins by the highest money making horse in the country, Cigar. He was added to the Park’s Garden of Champions upon his retirement, and a lifesize statue was erected in his honor. 1999 saw the last change in ownership for the track, when it was acquired by Magna Entertainment Corporation. Gulfstream was also host to another Breeders’ Cup, breaking another wagering record.

As soon as the meet ended in 2004, major renovation was begun at Gulfstream Park. The clubhouse and grandstand were leveled and the main track was enlarged to a mile and an eighth. The turf course was widened, growing from 80 feet to 170 feet. The walking ring was destroyed as well as half the barns and the Garden of Champions. The only original buildings left were the tote board, the administration building and the jockey’s room. The 2005 meet was held with tents and temporary buildings. This continued into 2006, since the 2005 hurricane season interfered with construction.

The new grandstand and clubhouse is elegant and includes retail space, restaurants and casinos, including the 1,200 seat restaurant, the Ten Palms, and the Tickets sports bar. A new walking ring surrounded by Mediterranean style architecture has been built. Gulfstream Park has remade itself almost completely to meet the needs of its many visitors.

Immortal is the tanking tree. This tree has Invincibility which reduces damage by 60% for 9 seconds and Revenge which has a 50% chance to reduces the rage cost of your next Force Scream or Smash by 1 after a successful parry, deflection, shielding or resisting an attack.

The Sith Marauder wields dual lightsabers and is a pure dps class. They have 2 main skill trees, Annihilation and Carnage.

Annihilation has Annihilate which is an instant ability that hits the opponent with both lightsabers and decreases the cooldown of your next Annihilate by 1.5 seconds. They also have Inescapable Torment which inflicts extra damage from bleed effects to choked opponents for 15 seconds.

Carnage has the Ataru Form which increases your accuracy by 3% and successful melee attacks have a 20% chance to grant an additional force strike. Their other ability is Gore which causes Impale to attack with both lightsabers.
